I believe that human beings are far more “good” than “bad”.
Therefore we should trust each other over not trusting each other.
I will make a simple logical argument – which might turn out to be entirely wrong. Only the future can tell.
I will use two data sources only. One of these data sources is my own, subjective personal experiences. The other data source is Wikipedia.
Let me try to – in simple terms – define “good”.
“Good” could be defined as one human being not deliberately / intentionally killing another human being no matter the situation.
Let me try to – in simple terms – define “bad”.
“Bad” could be defined as one human being deliberately / intentionally killing another human no matter the situation. This may be happening – while on average this is likely not what happens most.
According to Wikipedia – using WorldOMeter as a source the world population – referring to the total number of humans currently living – was estimated to have exceeded 7.9 billion as of November 2021.
It seems like the world population is growing and has been growing quite a bit since 1950.
If most human beings were deliberately / intentionally killing other human beings – then the world population would probably not be rising. Maybe the world population would be declining.
From this I conclude that human beings are far more “good” than “bad” – given the definitions.
It is my personal experience that trusting others, trying to understand their needs – empathizing, being respectful and nonviolent both physically and in communication goes a long way for better lives for all of us – and our children.
I wish you all the best.
